The same character is then displayed on the screen using the <code>printf()<\/code> function along with the message &#8220;a=&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, the <code>getch()<\/code> function is used to hold the output screen until a key is pressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The syntax of the <code>getchar()<\/code> function is: <code>variable_name = getchar();<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that the <code>getchar()<\/code> function reads a single character at a time and ignores any extra characters entered by the user.
